For “by the Sacrament of Confirmation, (the baptized) are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1285)
Confirmation is celebrated here at Our Lady of the Snow in the spring of Level 9(usually ninth grade). The preparation is a three year program, (level 7, 8 and 9). The preparation includes participation in the prayer life of the community at Sunday Mass, instruction, community service, a retreat experience, and a sponsor mentor event.
